This time last year.. this time next year???

Jan 6/07:

Hahaha.. I'm not surprised to find myself making a posting right now (suddenly, the question of "is anyone still reading my blog?" has popped into my mind.. but that's off topic). I'm currently trying to prepare a document to submit to "Learning for a Sustainable Future". I'm applying to a part time job as a reviewer. They are putting together a large database of resources and tools that help teach about sustainable development. Anyhow, I was going through my teacher resources and suddenly this memory of some sort of statistic pooped into my mind - I remember posting about it, but I don't remember when or what the topic was about - HAHHAHA!!! Anyhow, I ended up reading some of my posts from last year. It always makes me think: Last year at this time, I had no idea that this year at this time I would be here AND, where will I be next year??

I finally made the decision to quit my job at the daycare over the holidays. I put in my resignation on Thursday. Unless they find someone to replace me earlier, I will be there until the end of January. This should be OK given that my teaching license and supply teaching application may take that long to process.

There are so many questionables these days. My family and I are considering all going back to Malaysia to see my grandparents in April/May. Before anyone over there gets too excited, nothing is confirmed, right now, it's just a consideration :P. So many variables to consider though: if I get a full time job (be in teaching or something else), how can I leave for a minimum of 3 weeks - I don't think I'd even dare to ask. What happens if we've booked and paid for the plane tickets and I land a job? Then what? If I don't go this year, when will I get the opportunity to go back with my family? It's somewhat important to me that I go with my parents because I know I'll be overwhelmed with trying to remember some of my relatives. It's also important my brother be there because we are the only two who have not been back since... many things happened.. and so it will be less stressful if we go together.

Jan 10/07:
Well, I'm on my lunch break now. Never really did get back to finishing my above post.. I don't even know what I was really trying to say. Anyhow, I just got news of a passing of a professor I knew. I worked with him and his wife on CCANB stuff, and they were an extremely nice couple. It's so sad because it was so sudden and he's also left behind two young boys. *sigh* I feel so terrible.

Anyways, I'll try to post again this weekend. Not really in the mood to write now.
